Lindisfarne's Holyness
Lindisfarne is a Mecca for pilgrims, Christians and searchers of God. Being the work place of St. Cuthbert, the place where the Lindisfarne Gospels were written by the monks of the priory and having a pilgrimage route leading from the mainland through the wadden sea, it is rightly referred to as 'Holy Island'.

Even in today's secular times, the island's visitors — those who have religious beliefs and those who haven't — leave the island somehow astonished and strangely touched. Whether it is God's presence or the island's tranqulity and natural beauty, it is a place that calms every soul.
