Holy Island is located in England's remote and scenic North East, 60 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and approximately 60 miles south of Edinburgh.

Reachable via its causeway during low tide, the island can be entered by car or bus.

Local buses operate mainly in  the summer from the historical town of Berwick-upon-Tweed.
